The very purpose of Gurpurabs & samagams should have been upliftment of the soul.
The ultimate reason for us being born into the human form is to become God-Like ourselves, for that, we must constantly upgrade / evolve into a better human being.

With our own hands, let us resolve our own affairs. ||20||
(If you are hungry, you have to eat yourself. Someone cannot eat on your behalf)
We feel this is the simplest way to re-affirm our bond with Waheguru.
As a Sikh, it is most important that we personally get connected to our Guru Sahib. Thus as the 1st step we propose Jap Ji Sahib, later, next Gurpurab we can add something else that will help the Sikh Panth. If you have suggestions, please send a mail to suggestions@meraprann.com Our team will review the suggestion and work out the mechanics of implementation. We will keep you informed.
Absolutely anyone. Just like a Sikh Gurdwara is open to all people, this pledge is also open to all. We must remember that Guru Nanak Dev Ji, in Jupji Sahib said
gu rw iek dy ih bu JweI ] (2-12, jpu, mÚ 1)
guraa ik dayhi bujhaa-ee.
The Guru has given me this one understanding:
sBnw jIAw kw ieku dwqw so mY ivsir n jweI ]6] (2-13, jpu, mÚ 1)
sabhnaa jee-aa kaa ik daataa so mai visar na jaa-ee. ||6||
there is only the One, the Giver of all souls. May I never forget Him! ||6||
and also Guru Gobind Singh Ji said,
Thus worship the ONE WAHEGURU JEE, who is the common enlightener of all; all have been created in His Image and amongst all comprehend the same ONE LIGHT. 15.85.
Most certainly. As an individual, you can register on this website meraprann.com
If as an organization, you want to do a similar thing in your city, you can download the entire kit that we have made. With minimal changes, you can implement at your end.
Great! That you have already pledged to Guru Sahib and that you do nitnem. We are very happy.
There are 2 reasons, that you may sign up for this pledge.
(1) Doing an extra Jup Ji sahib daily cannot hurt
(2) You could use these tools to motivate others, not as fortunate as you, to get onto the right path.
Ideally, amritwela is recommended, but any time is good time. Several times Gurbani impresses upon us that at "all times" we must think of Waheguru!

In olden days it was common that Waheguru’s praise could be sung anywhere.
Since time and place is not of much consequence, you must take your time and lovingly do the path. In fact, Anand Sahib @ 24th pauri warns us. There are other many lines that imply the same. So do it with passion. Imagine Waheguru is listening to you.

Yes, you can, but let us not fall in the trap of counting. One is more than enough if you spend good time in contemplating the line that you have read.
Today’s youth is very well read. You don’t need rocket science to realize what Guru Sahib is meaning to say.
If you do need help download banis from http://www.sikhnet.com/pages/download-banis and you can get the meanings in English too. (Gurmukhi & Romanized & English Translation) or you can refer http://www.sikhitothemax.com/ or http://www.srigranth.org or http://www.gurugranthdarpan.com/
Moreover the main trust is to do veechar / beechar yourself, not one not twice, but 818 times this word has come in Sri Guru Granth Sahib so we owe it to our calling our self a Sikh that we understand what we have read.
Enough spoon feeding over the years, now let us do veechaar ourselves. You may make mistakes. Like this child, something will fall off the plate, her radiant face tells us that something must be going in her mouth!
Now, make the effort, start EATING yourself … DO VEECHAR
